Master Chi Kang was born in China and is a self-taught brush painter. As a young man, he was very observant and traveled extensively. He spent years in the orchid gardens, not only learning about the flowers, but studying the paintings about them as well. He has always paid great attention to detail; his paintings reflect this element. He is known for his paintings of beautiful women. In the early days of his career, he had no models for his paintings, yet he was able to paint nudes, which have been collected all over the world. His huge panels decorated the receiving halls of the President of the Republic of China. His masterpieces in the CKS airport welcome millions of visitors to Taiwan every day. He has had many exhibitions and has won the praise of many. He is now retired and resides with his wife, who is also an artist, in San Diego.
