Get crafty with us this October! We're happy to offer free admission for children under 12 year-round, but starting on Sunday 10/5, we're hosting special art workshops 🖍️
Spooky stories are on the horizon - in collaboration with Storytellers of San Diego! Be part of a bewitching time as you hear Chinese stories of ghosts, spirits, and more.
Learn the story of China taking in 20,000 Jewish refugees from Hitler's Europe in World War II.
This retrospective exhibit on the China-Burma-India theater of WWII is open until January 2026 at the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum. The China-Burma-India Theater (CBI) was the United States military designation for battlefields in that region during World War II. CBI events have been largely forgotten or marginalized in Western memory, but their stories are as colorful as those from more heavily documented areas of WWII. For more information, click here.
In anticipation of the SDCHM’s 30th anniversary celebration in 2026, we invite the community to be part of the museum’s
future by contributing to our anniversary fund. Have your family’s name remembered for generations to come! We will inaugurate a legacy wall in the Chuang garden near Confucius, where contributors will be recognized by the placement of tiles that incorporate an inscription of their selection. Reserve your brick(s) today!
Saturdays - Sundays, from 12 to 4 p.m.
